Roller cutters are use in either mixed ground or hard ground mechanize boring. During boring, cutter has to undergo tremendous stress from the machine push and underground environment and unforeseen soil condition. This will result the cutter’s body or ring giving in during excavation. This is an unpredictable wear or tear no end user would want. We minimize this problem by a better bearing design, sealing and proper cutter’s ring fabrication technique.
